On April 1, the RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) celebrates it's 100th anniversary of being given the Royal designation. The Air Force had been founded in 1920 as the Canadian Air Force. Member Dave Bartlet in conjunction with the CAS (Canadian Aerophilatelic Society) created covers and overprinted stamps to commemorate the event.

The Edmonton National Stamp show was held 23-24 March 2024. 8 members of the Calgary Philatelic Society exhibited 12 exhibits with the following results:
On April 5, at the monthly club meeting, the 100th anniversary of the club founding was celebrated. The photo below shows, from left to right, two great-granddaughters Beth Saunders and her sister Carol Irwin, then Beth’s daughters Jennifer and Shannon. Not in the photo but also attending was Beth’s husband Bill. Additional photos can be seen in the April edition of the Calgary Philatelist.
At the Montreal Lakeshore Stamp club annual show 1-2 April, Dave Bartlet was awarded the following for his exhibits - The Baby Sisters - Gold, BC Hospital Aid - Gold, Admiral Booklet Varieties - Vermeil, Covid-19 - Bronze.
The first in person National show was held at ORAPEX in Ottawa 23-24 April. Ray Villeneuve won a Silver for his exhibit on Queen's University in Kingston, Dave Bartlet was awarded a Large Vermeil for his exhibit on Admiral Booklet Varieties.
As live international stamp shows resume, CPS members are participating. At the London
2022 show, Amelia Kelbert won a Large Silver for her exhibit on monarch butterflies.
Don Wilson won Gold at HUNFILEX 2022 in Budapest for his exhibit “Australian Mail To
The UK To 1891”, which also received a special prize from the Emirates Philatelic Society.

It is a four album set of mint India pre-independence stamps that would include feudatory, convention states, French India, Portuguese India, and India used abroad. The Calgary Philatelic Society won for the most votes and the Canadian Stamp News cover contest for Best National Stamp Collecting month cover and will win the prize of $150. With 619 votes, the runner up Kevin O'Reilly had 591 votes in a tight race. The cover is shown here. The cover was designed by Dave Bartlet for the club, and the main cachet shows the title page of John Noad's exhibit on Dinosaurs from last years CALVIRT exhibit. It is franked with a BNAPEX Virtual stamp, and the cancel from the BNAPEX Virtual show in September.
